My Last Fundraising event is fast approaching – a Wine tasting evening on the 24th January in Glasgow City.

It is being hosted by a lovely gentleman who has a large knowledge of wine and who has agreed to share with everyone attending how one goes about picking a nice bottle without paying a fortune for it.

There will be the chance to try 5 different red wines and 5 white as well.

Additionally, there will be a choice of nibbles – specifically chosen to complement the varied types of wine.

So do come along and extend you knowledge of wine in good company and relaxed atmosphere.

Tickets are £10 pr head and can be obtained from Kyle or Charlotte Gordon.

Been fundraising both this weekend and last and thought I would share a couple of pictures from those days with you 🙂

Last weekend it wasa Asda in Bearsden & Bishopbriggs with the happy help of Gordon & Lillian & Kyle. Thank you guy for being good sports and wearing the silly hats and tarberts!

This weekend, we managed to collect around £800 at Morrisons in Bishopbriggs – so I am very happy indeed!

Getting the cans ready again – heading to Morrison’s tomorrow and Saturday with the kind help or Gaenor & Heidi for day one and Carolyne & Kyle on day two.

Hoping it goes just half a well as it did last weekend where smiling politely and saying good morning to all of Asda’s shoppers brought in over £1100!

Have a sneaky plan of doing a car boot sale on Sunday – but will have a look at the weather closer to the time, i must admit.

So I’ve spent the weekend rattling buckets with friends at the friendly Asda stores in Bearsden & Bishopbriggs, and it has been very fruitful indeed.

We managed to collect £610 Saturday and £530 today. A total of £1140 is heading to the bank and from there to my Just Giving page so Marie Curie will get Gift Aid on top.

I am most grateful to all the friendly folk of these two towns for giving so very generously and to my friends and husband for giving up their their time to help reach this astounding amount.

Next up is Morrison’s on Friday & Saturday!

First bucket rattling day is tomorrow – a day earlier than anticipated – as ASDA in Bearsden had a cancellation for tomorrow and phone me to give me first dips on it.

Went for it and now have a couple of lovely people to help me rattle buckets in the gentle direction of people from 10 – 17 tomorrow.

Really hoping this goes well and sets a good indicator for the other dates i have lined up for September.

September is going to be THE bucket rattling month for me, as I have tomorrow and Sunday in two different ASDAs, then next Friday & Saturday in Morrisons (with a car-boot sale on Sunday the 15th in Milngavie), followed by another weekend of rattling on the 21st & 22nd.

Then i get a wee break before going at it again on the 6th, 12th and 13th October in my lovely ASDAs again 🙂Just need to figure out how to fit some hiking in to this schedule as well…guess at least I will be getting used to being on my feet all day again.

It feels good to have a plan!

Had a carwash at work yesterday. Washed 18 cars and am utterly worn out today but did make £90 & Ronnie and Eilean have offered to make it an even 100 🙂

Very happy about the outcome of that – and honestly couldn’t have managed more cars.

Marie made an amazing £132.25 at her carboot sale the other week – for which is most grateful 🙂

Things are coming along slowly but they are coming 🙂

Have 6 days of bucket rattling lined up for now and hopefully a couple more in the pipeline. Might have to ask for some help with them – the more the merrier when doing these things!

I have entirely forgotten to tell you about these two wonderful events!!!

The lovely Marie is hosting a car boot sale in Aberdeen on the 25th August to help raise funds – so if you are in the area – swing by and find a bargin!!

Additionally, We will be holding a sockster workshop where people can come and make their own cute wee Sockster toys!! they are so very sweet and cute and not hard to make AND they make great baby-is-born or Christmas pressies…
